India Couture Week 2016

Ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra, who will open the FDCI India Couture Week (ICW) 2016 with his latest collection, “The Persian Story”,says he is stressed, anxious and excited for his show that will take place on Wednesday.

Traditionally Couture in India is synonymous to bridal wear and Jewellery. Over the years with modifications in ceremonies, the need to dress to nines have also altered. Vintage colours, capelets and embroidered full length jackets have emerged as the new trends this season. Both Manish Malhotra and Sabyasachi Mukherjee created collections specifically for cocktail wear. Silhouettes of gowns range from body hugging columns to full skirts. Pure whites as seen at Varun Bahl, and Rahul Mishra and handloom textiles are slowly but surely entering the game as well. From cocktail gowns to hybrid ethnic wear that you can move in to the opulent bridal looks for wedding ceremonies, we bring you the best looks from FDCI India Couture Week 2016
