"Going Solo doesn’t mean that you are Alone..You are
with the whole world"
Hills and Zig Zag roads always fascinates me and
push me to travel and trek whenever I get a chance.
Solo travelling is a unique
experience that gives you the luxury to do what you really want to do, without
depending on others. It's a chance to break free and try something out of your
comfort zone. It's thrilling, exciting and challenging at the same time.It
always feels good to be lost in right direction and I was enough fortunate to
get everything good on time weather it was transportation, hotel or the people
around.
I started my journey from Delhi, Preet Vihar with Volvo Sleeper coach which was beyond expectation but travelling was taking too long to reach dehradun as we stuck in Jam for 4 to 5 hrs at Haridwar due to Guru Poornima Festival but fornutaley I got connected transportation to reach final desitnation CHAKRATA. I aways opt for public transport which is reasonable and safe in many aspects. Beauty of my travel is always meeting travellers like me.
On my journey to Chakrata I met few amazing people ( Maninder, Ankit, Vinayak, Ajit and Vinod Ji. I am so thankful for their company for shorter or longer time.
Chakrata is less crowded and surrounded by beautiful deodar hills. People in the village are so nice and humble. town was known earlier as Jaunsar bawar, a small hamlet of Jaunsari tribe. I found Jain Temple and got a chance to visit inside. Just 5 Jain families are in chakrata and they are maintaining it.
Reached here at 7 Pm and got the room in Uttarayan Hotel in no time with the help of our Driver Bhai Ajit. Stay was really good in Uttaryan Hotel and Food was delicious. Food from outside dhaba was Average and I would suggest not to opt Chinese or South Indian dishes there as they have no idea about it. You can try food in Janta Resturant and Sher – E – Punjab.
Day 2 – Woke up at 6 and rush to Chirmiri Top to capture Sunrise. 3 and half km walk was so refreshing, road is surrounded by lush green trees and valley. I was looking at the point
where sunrise about to happen, I can see that orange line at the top of Snow mountains and was indication that sun is about to rise. Finally I heard a voice “ dude you are late by 2 minutes “ he was Vinayak, another Solo traveller from Delhi. but I manage to capture beautiful mountains with Sun Shine. At Chirmiri Top you have have a 360 degree view of wonderful mountains.
Afternoon, started my journey to Devban , 22 km more higher than chakrata. Deoban Trek is also a Winter Trek for someone who wants to experience snow. Deoban Trek lies in the Kanasar Forest range bordering Himachal Pradesh. It is at a height of 3000 Meters above sea level.and then trek to Ved Vyas Shikhar. and the place was totally isolated and gives the splendid view of majestic mountains.
It is from Vyas Shikhar that one can see 180 degree stunning views of Kandariya Mahadev, Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Ranglana, Nanda Devi, Kedarnath, Trishul and many more Himalayan peaks.
Day – 3 : Started journey to Tigar Fall. It is a hidden beauty in the hilly terrains of Chakrata in Uttarakhand, India. It is 25 km from Chakrata and can be reached by a 5 km trek with rhododendron and oak trees surroundings. it is considered the highest direct waterfall in India. Falls is a magnificent waterfall located amidst hilly terrain near Chakrata in Uttarakhand. Tiger fall is also known as Keraao Pachad and Kailu Pachad in local languages. It is called Tiger Fall because of its Roaring Sound.
